Lindsey Ail

Driven by equal parts passion and a desire to learn, Lindsey joined the Marquis team in 2017 after a decade as a practicing RMT. Her intention is to share her love of exploration and appreciation of the world through wine. Lindsey has completed the Wine & Spirit Education Trust Level 3 Certificate and continues her wine education be it in books, online, or the much preferred hands-on approach. Outside of work Lindsey derives pleasure from reading, escaping into nature, and the daily adventures with her labradoodle, Maisy.

John was the first person to open British Columbia’s first independently owned and operated wine shop in 1986. Without even knowing it and long before it became fashionable John was a champion of promoting small family estates and sustainable farming practices. He has traveled extensively throughout California, Washington Oregon, Australia, Austria, Italy, Bordeaux, burgundy Chablis, Languedoc Rhone Valley, Alsace and of course, BC. A fixture in the Vancouver wine scene for over 30 years, his enthusiasm and energy is unsurpassed.

For almost 4 decades, Marquis Wine Cellars has steadfastly pursued two timeless goals: Outstanding Customer Service and Great Wines.

Decades and generations may come and go but one thing has not changed: the focus on how to serve and look after customers’ needs. The belief that the customer should be treated as a welcomed guest is paramount.
